I used to live in Fells Point & ordered food from here for delivery a few times & picked it up on my way home a couple times & I eventually have up on them... I would have after the first couple times, but as other reviewers have mentioned, there are limited Chinese options in the area. One time they got our rice wrong (white instead of fried) & the dish my bf ordered was nothing like that dish he's had at multiple other places. We tried to ask if it was the right dish when I called about the rice, but the guy rudely insisted it was correct without listening to my boyfriend's description of it. (He did send the delivery guy back with the correct rice though!) The couple times I went in to order, I had to speak to them first, no one greeted me, and naturally when they did acknowledge me they weren't friendly. The only reason this gets 2 stars is bc the delivery guy was always really nice!I think I'll stick to suburban Chinese takeout.

Excellent local place with moderate prices on deliciously flavored food. Eating in for lunch garners you a free soup as a bonus. Definitely a worthwhile establishment. Staff is friendly and great to interact with. Whether you eat in or take out the portions are great and the food is hot and delicious.

without many options for chinese delivery around SE Bmore, I've ordered from here quite a few times and while it's edible and fulfills the craving it's simply not that great and I'm still searching for a better spot.very chewy breaded chicken on the Tso's, Orange and Sesame Chicken. Sauce is often over sweetened. noodles in lo mein are saturated in sauce and often become a tad mushy afterwards.on the bright side, the food is at least average. as i stated I've ordered from here many times. they've never forgotten items and have a polite staff.

I swear Ding How isn't as good as people say... but since it's the only Chinese restaurant in the area and if you don't want to drive down to Columbia or Ellicott City, this is probably as good as it gets.Maybe I've been spoiled growing up with home-cooked Chinese food on my dinner plate. But authentic Chinese food is on a totally different spectrum than the medley of typical ingredients Ding How serves.Don't get me wrong here. I do, on occasion, enjoy take out from Ding How, but that's like saying sometimes you feel like going to McDonald's instead of TGIF. You can't rate them the same way.

Pretty solid chinese food delivery, wish I could rate 3.5 stars - I can't say 4 because they did mess up my order slightly with the steamed meat dumplings instead of vegetable. BUT everything else was great. I really enjoyed the hot and spicy peanut noodles and the hunan chicken. I especially liked that I could request all white meat for the dish! The food was well-flavored and not too greasy, it felt like someone took a decent amount of time packaging everything up and neatly placing it into the double bag instead of throwing it together.I will be ordering again!

Well....I've driven from Mount Vernon to Fells on more than a few occasions to get Ding How, so I have to say that I'm a fan.I've only dined in here a few times, the majority of my other experiences are takeout or delivery, but I do really like this place. They have an extensive menu and the quality v. price ratio is quite good.I've never been disappointed after ordering from these guys, and for the type of American-Chinese that it is, it's quite good!

Pretty good for Chinese food! The inside is much nicer than you'd expect from the location and the storefront. The amount of food for the price was great. The downside was that our waitress was rushing us. I would have liked to enjoy the vast quantities of food a little more!

General Tso's Orange Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice and Vegetable Egg Rolls. This and other dishes make up the standard Chinese food fare - but Ding How does it well and relatively quickly for reasonable prices. The weekends do see an uptick in traffic however so I recommend calling ahead for carry-out. The interior is nice enough to sit down and eat but I haven't done that yet. The service is friendly and the location can't be beat - right on Broadway in Fells Pt.

My office relocated from White Marsh to Fells Point last week and I am getting used to my new surroundings. At my old office, I knew of all the places to get every kind of food and which places delivered or where I could order for pick up. Here, I am lost. I know of several places for dinner, but not too many places to grab lunch. Through Yelp, I saw that Ding How was nearby and also delivered. I looked up their online menu and saw that their prices weren't bad, either.I called and placed an order for delivery and was told that there was a $15 minimum for delivery. I expected this and had several meal choices in mind. (No one else in my office wanted Chinese and I looked like a fatty ordering so many entrees!) I ordered a large chicken pad Thai, and two lunch combos: beef and broccoli and kung pao chicken. The food arrived within 20 minutes and I put the two lunch combos in the fridge and immediately started chowing down on some pad Thai. It was delicious! There was a good amount of meat and just the right amount of peanuts. They packed so much food into the container that I couldn't eat it all in one sitting. I put the rest away and saved it for dinner.I ate the beef and broccoli combo meal the next day. It came with fried rice and a spring roll. I just reheated it in the microwave and it was delicious. They definitely do not skimp on the portions. I didn't get to eat the kung pao chicken because someone stole it out of the fridge, but I can only imagine it was as delicious as the other two dishes I ordered. I will definitely order from here again because the prices are great, the food is delicious and the portions are humongous. I just hope next time someone else in my office wants to order with me so I don't have to order three dishes for myself. But I will if I have to!

The night of eating, just thought I was tired. I don't mean this to sound politically incorrect, but all Chinese food seems the same to me. I've never been and probably never will travel to China so I can't speak to "authentic" Chinese cuisine, but the stuff they serve in the US, especially the take-out/delivery kind, all seems to come from the same playbook - overly sweet, fried everything loaded with salt and lacking noticeable spice. Don't get me wrong, I love me some delivery Chinese food, I'm just sayin'.Having ordered from three difference places in the city, it was time to give Ding How a shot. Not only do I love their name (I seem to laugh a little every time I say it) but they're close and my fellow Yelpers seem to have relatively positive things to say about their experiences. I placed the order online with http://www.eatbmore.com at around 7:15pm on a Saturday evening. The doorbell rang at nearly 10 after 8. Needless to say I wasn't too impressed with the delivery time. C'mon, this is Chinese food. Normally it arrives so fast it makes you wonder how in the hell they actually had time to cook it. Follow me this way to the food...We aren't ones to break from routine when it comes to our take-out Chinese so we went with our standards:Kung Pao chicken w/ white rice - Not a bad version of the classic. The chicken is only lightly breaded and then fried, the sauce was more sweet than spicy and there were way too many water chestnuts (should have asked them to leave out these flavorless crunchies). Love the peanuts and the whole Thai chilis, but could have used more heat. The white rice was good - sticky and glutenous as it should be.Spring rolls - Flakey, crispy wrappers wrapped around a filling of fresh cabbage, carrots, shrimp and onions. Tasty renditions.Crab Rangoon - I don't get the crab Rangoon in this city. They are more fried ravioli than wontons and they're suspiciously yellow. Oh well, they tasted OK (a bit soggy from the trip) with a nice bit of crab in the filling. Some dipping sauce would have been nice.Sweet and sour pork w/brown rice - Just what you'd expect. Giant pieces of batter fried pork tossed with some fresh-sliced veggies (carrots, onions, green peppers) and chunks of pineapple served with the standard freakishly bright red sugar sauce. Unfortunately, the pork was on the chewy side and provided a bit of a mandibular workout. The brown rice was, well, brown rice.I have to agree with what others have said on here. Ding How is pretty much what you'd expect from an Americanized Chinese take-out place. The food is textbook and pretty tasty and the portions supply more than enough for multiple meals. Our cost was about $27 with tip and aside from the annoyingly delayed delivery proved a decent experience. No surprises; and isn't this what you want from your local Chinese eatery?P.S.The delivery guy, who appeared to be of Asian descent and speaking rapidly in what I can only assume was Chinese (props for the authenticity) never put down his phone during our doorway transaction. Apparently, the call was pretty important. If only I had stuck with my Rosetta Stone a little longer...Seinfeld four?
